Fun Phonics Alphabet Puzzles ⭐
I am delighted to share a new free resource that I have created for young English learners!
These Alphabet Puzzles have been designed to help children recognise uppercase and lowercase letters while developing letter-sound awareness in a fun and hands-on way. Each puzzle consists of two matching pieces: one side shows the letter, and the other side shows a picture that begins with that letter sound.
The puzzles are perfect for preschool and kindergarten learners who are beginning their phonics journey. Through play, children can strengthen letter recognition, improve visual discrimination skills, and make meaningful connections between letters and sounds.
I love using activities like these because they encourage active learning and can be adapted to different levels. Children can work independently, in pairs, or in small groups while practising important early literacy skills.
✨ Ways to use the puzzles:
- Match letters and pictures.
- Introduce new phonics sounds.
- Use them as a literacy centre activity.
- Play memory and matching games.
- Reinforce uppercase and lowercase letter recognition.
Simply print, cut, laminate (optional), and enjoy!
