Discover Free Monster Phonics Resources


In my previous post, I introduced Monster Phonics, a popular phonics programme used in many schools to support children in learning how to read and write in English. Although the full programme requires a subscription, Monster Phonics also provides a selection of free resources that teachers and parents can use to support early literacy development.

These free materials include videos, printable activities, games, and phonics support resources that can be used both in the classroom and at home. They are designed to reinforce letter sounds, improve phonemic awareness, and make learning more engaging through colourful characters and interactive activities.

Free resources are a great way to introduce children to phonics or to provide extra practice outside the classroom. They can be used as warm-up activities, revision tasks, or independent learning opportunities.

I am excited to share one of my own teaching resources with you! These printable alphabet cards have been designed to support young learners in their first steps towards learning English. Each card includes an uppercase and lowercase letter, together with a simple and recognisable image that helps children connect the letter with its corresponding sound. The cards can be printed, laminated, and displayed around the classroom to create a rich literacy environment.
